Tsu Matsuri
津まつり(Tsumatsuri)

Mie Prefecture's largest festival for 380 years

Tsu festival unfolds over two days beginning with the local performing arts of Shagoma (demons on horseback) and Tojin odori (dance of masked performers dressed in Korean-style costumes), and closing with the main event of Anotsu-yosakoi dancing. There are also exhibitions of local products and food stalls. Tsu's inner city area is closed during the festival, which is held on a large-scale. In the October fall festival season, other fall festivals are also held within Tsu City, but visitors will know everything about the city if they can see Tsu festival.
